Help me choose pickups for my guitar!

Hi,

I have a Godin Freeway Classic, maple body with poplar wings and rosewood fingerboard. I've decided to swap out the neck humbucker and single coil middle pickup.

Curently I've decided I want a stratty little wing sound for the single coil, so I'll probably be going with the SSL-2.

I'll prob ask the technician to help me wire the humbuckers to split coil in position 2 and 4. About 80 percent of what I play is cleans. What do you recommend for the neck position hb?

Hello man,

I have that same guitar in my hands as we speak ( this one is blue ). The neck pup choice totally depends on what you want, but if I had to make a recommendation, I would probably go with a pearly gates, because it's one of the finest neck hb out there IMO. I also really like the jazz, so you might want to look into those 2.

Hi, I want something that's not muddy and would give me an articulate clean tone. It doesn't have to be excellent for overdrive, clean tones would be the priority. I like like the little wing single coil sound, so something that would blend well with that would be great.

Jazz BRIDGE pup in the NECK. I've heard this before in a Strat and WOW!!! Completely taken aback!!!

a 59 sounds good for that guitar, buy you might want to check out some dimarzios. air zone, air norton, paf pro. those are some other good options.
