help me choose some magnets :)

I have an HH style project guitar I’m working on now. I have a 59b and a Seth Lover neck ready to drop in. Both are without magnets as I pulled them during some previous experimentation. So I’m trying to decide what to put it there.

I don’t want A5 as I have another guitar with an A5 59b in it already. So I want to try something different. Same with the SL. I have a bunch of magnets on hand: A2, A3, A4, UOA5, RCA5. So lots of options.

What are some good mag combos for a SH-1b & SH-55n setup? Both pickups will have nickel covers. The guitar is a DeArmond S-65 with an agathis body. I play a mix of stuff so I like versatility, but general rock/blues tones are often what I gravitate to.

Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks! :)

I haz to suggest double thick A2 for the bridge, but you would have to run it without a cover. A3 or UOA5 for the neck to change it up.

Yes, the SL is one of the best neck pickups I had so far, even better than stock Ant neck. Use as it is together with a UOA5 in the 59b. Match made in heaven...

Thanks guys! The UOA5 59b sounds like a winner, I'll try that for sure. The stock Seth sounds like a good choice too.

I should mention that I also have an APH-1n and a SH-18n. Initially I figured the Seth would be the best match for the 59b. But would either of those be better you think? Or is the SH-55 the way to go?

Also, same question for those; if I were to use those instead, what magnet would I use in them to compliment a UOA5 59b?

Thanks guys, that combo came out great. It sounds really...creamy. But also a little chewy with higher gain. I don't have any guitars that sound quite like this so this is a nice change. I like it a lot. :)
