Hmm, He told me its "What you're looking for" kinda sound, i told him i wanted an Ozzy Osborne sound, with good looks, and thats what he directed me to, telling me it sounds like the duncan distortion, but looks like the invader and its cheap, im prolly getting it anyway, who the hell can beat $30?
Wish they made the pickup i photoshoped as my avatar (SH-5custom top coil and SH-8 invader bottom coil) that would rule, they would prolly custom make it, for ungodly amounts of money, dont know if it would sound good but if it did, it'd have scorching top mid, and monster low.

What you just said made no sence, and i read somewere that the best guitars are made in korea. And i dont think Seymour Duncan tech support would recomend me a pice of junk pickup with the info i gave them.
Just ran a search on thies forums for that pickup, and its a less bassy invader with a clearer tone, They say it sounds like the distrtion pickup, and everyone so far gives it great reviews, anyway its $30 so im not out much is its junk.

I can't say anything about the Detonator, but I am at least a Duncan Designed user. I have an ESP M-207 that came with the Duncan Designed pickups. The ones I have are modeled after the JB bridge/Jazz neck set. I'm not sure how close they are to the real thing, but I kinda dig the bridge pickup nonetheless. It seems to be incredibly diverse in that it cleans up well and tears all amounts of ass with the gain/distortion kicked in. I don't like the neck pickup all that much, but that shouldn't be your concern; you don't have a place to put a neck pickup to begin with.

i am not saying its junk. duncan's got a 21 day exchange policy if a pup doesn't work for you. i don't think it extends to duncan designed pups. also, you may face some difficulties if you decide to sell or trade the pickup at a later date. of course, go get the detonator if it floats your boat.
