Help me decide hot tele neck pickup

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of doing up an old beat up, covered in stickers, Frankenstein squier telecaster. at the moment it has a Duncan distortion (with reg sized A5 mag) in the bridge with no neck pickup.
the neck is routed for a standard tele sized neck single coil.
I want this to be a high output beater guitar so I'm torn between adding a hot rails, hot for tele or a QP for the neck position, or just to keep it a one pickup monster. What do you guys think? This will be used for distortion predominantly but cleans in the neck position would be a bonus, but not at the expense of a great distorted tone, so distortion comes first.

Re: Help me decide hot tele neck pickup

Can you be more specific about the tones you're looking for from a neck pickup? My fear would be that most Tele neck pickups won't be able to keep up, from an output perspective, with a Duncan Distortion model. Funk is right that the HR Tele neck model might work where output is concerned; but it won't give you Tele tone.

Oh sorry, no I'm not after a traditional tele tone at all, just after something that would keep up with the DD5 and give me a pure distortion axe in both bridge and neck positions.

Then I would go with the HR for Tele neck model.
