Okay, please limit yourself to the choices above. In a month or two, I'm going to be ready to expand the line by one.

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

EL34's....with a 2nd channel for gosh sakes.

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

I voted for 2 EL-34's and reverb, and put it in the large Edana headbox.
It'd probably be similar to a plexi or Chieftain, or a cross between.

Don't you have more orders to fill on pre-ordered amps? I'll want one eventually. If you can solve the problem of plexi Marshalls not having reverb, you'll have a winner.

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

Yes, GJ, I do have some orders to fill first, but now is the time to start planning and ordering for the next stuff.

voiceing Matchless DC30, Matchless clubman and a good old Tweed Pro/Bandmaster/Super circuit ... all with verb.

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

Tweed with reverb. Wish I had the cash to have you build one for me.....maybe taxtime will be good to me this year.

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

voted tweed...I've been a in Fender Bluesy mode lately.

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

I voted for the one I have. I would love to see ya make that 30 watter!

edit: mine has 3 el84's though... oh well

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

What type of amps do you make Scott F..? Are they based on Vintage Fender or Marshall amp sounds, are you going for the Boogie type sound? What is the tone bases for your amps?

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

I votes for the EL34 option...

Do you make something similar to a Fender Twin?

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

I still think you should build a metal amp! :headbang:

Re: Help Me Decide my Next Amp Project....

Scott, have you ever thought about trying your hand at a low/medium wattage high gain head? 6l6's would be nice too. something that can be cranked up a bit at home and not blow down the house like a 100w mesa or marshall lol. i know it's not really your thing/style but it's just a thought.

Let me just say I'm a big fan of Matchless/Vox/Bad Cat tones.

how come no one ever does 6v6 class A?

just wondering

That really is a piece of cake to be honest. Once I get the 2xEL34 version going, a 2x6V6 would not be too difficult.

And guys, as much as I love you metal heads, a high gain best ain't in my immediate plans.

Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell told me online that Matchless amps were the only combos he has ever tried that he really liked a lot..... www.kimmitchell.ca He mostly uses JCM800's live but he just bought a new Handwired Marshall 50 watt Plexi Reissue... But he said the Matchless stuff is great.... I would imagine that your amps are almost as pricy Scott?
