I personally think the black/black looks the best out of the options you gave above; however, I think having a black bridge with the current combo would make it look even better. Just my two cents though.

I don't love a deep red + black color scheme. Looks a little hot topic-y to me.

That guitar is screaming for zebras, whether creme or white doesn't matter to me.

After some consideration, I think what I'm going to do is pretty much what the consensus is - brushed nickel or steel.

But...

Before I do that I think I'm going to get the pickups in black, as I don't want to fully invest in the brushed look in case the pickups end up not working out. I can always install covers later.

In the meantime, I've actually located a source for brushed aluminum rings in order to jazz up the appearance a little bit.
