Help me make a decision please!

I bought a red Strat body that i'm pairing with a maple Strat neck, a white pearloid pickguard and a chrome covered C5 which I will probably install an A8 Magnet. Now, I've decided to use a couple of Tele Neck pickups that I have floating around for the neck and middle, but I was thinking about it and I might like to just put one in the neck and use a 3 way swtich and split the bucker in the middle... The guard is not yet cut for the mid or neck pups, just the bridge 'bucker, 2 controls and the switch... so I ask, one chrome single or two?

OK, I decided only one in the neck. I'm going to wire up a second pickguard with another configuration and quick-connect them. So I'll be able to switch whenever I want.

I find that they get in the way of my picking, so I lower them the the point of uselessness, and I never use them on their own anyway...

I also own 14 guitars, 4 of them have middle pups, so if I need one, there's always something else...
