I don't have any experience with the ET90s, but I do love the Retro30's, and the ET65's.

The ET65's are a pretty faithful clone of the G12-65s that defined the JCM800/early 80s sound. Maybe a tiny bit more articulate.

And the Retro 30s are great if you're not so fond of Celestion V30s but still want a similar kinda upper mid crunchy voicing. The Retro30s have a fuller low end, more open sounding midrange, and a more present, slightly more chimey treble. Still as powerful, just as tight and articulate with riffage and high gain, but sounds much nicer on the cleans and low gain stuff IMO.

Judging by the description of the ET90, it should sound a lot like the ET65 but tighter, and more full sounding. I say go for it.

Well I knew that but did he open up a thread to say it or say it in another thread? Last post I saw of his was that "youtube violations" and his last post was something about killing his self.

Guess some folks don't learn.

Which road did you travel? I have a Ht stage 100, with the same cab.. been thinking of swapping the speakers out.

I have a 2x12 with the Vet30 and an Et65 (cream back clone) they sound great together with any of the amps I've run through them. A Mesa MkV, a 50w Marshall JCM 900, a H&K Tubemiester 18. It's a great speaker combo

I haven't bought any yet. I'm still driving myself crazy trying to figure out what I want. I back and forth between wgs and eminence, and even think about combining the two together. what speakers are you thinking about?

I've been looking in the same direction, and beating my head against the wall the whole time lol.. Been kinda leaning more towards eminence (swamp thang mostly), but I just don't know... I've worried I'll end up with a speaker that's close to what is already in there, or worse yet, wish I had kept what I already have.

Keep trying different speakers and speaker combinations until you fine out what sound best to you.

Coincidentally, I also have a Blackstar head, and am also torn between WGS and Eminence for a 4x12 cab.
