Alnico II Pro in the neck and a Screamin Demon (with 12 fillister screws) in the bridge. I've also had a Super Distortion, Custom, Custom 5, Duncan Distortion, and JB in the bridge. They all sounded great, but I ended up with the Demon because of the openess of the mids and the sparkle in the highs.

Get a replacement dual humbucker pickguard for your Strat and put a CC/A2Pro combo in it. One volume, one tone, 3-way switch. Smokin'!!!
What year is your Strat? If yours is routed H-S-H or has the pool route, you're golden and no routing would be necessary.

It has H-S-H routing, and a CC in the bridge, but I'm wondering if I want a Mahogany and set neck guitar.
I was leaning twords the Strat, but now I'm thinking it's not about up or downgrading, but about the sound I'm going for regardless. Something closer to the tone in 'Send the Pain Below' by Chevelle or along those lines. (Yeah, I know they use Marks:dunno: ):fing2:

Well, I have one of each so pending my mood, I just grab either one. But I do love my Strat regardless of what's in it.
Keep the Strat and get something mahogany set neck. Look at the Epi LP Standard Plus models. Very nice guitars, mahagony type wood (no, not plywood or alder) - more like a Luan wood which is really nice sounding IMO. The quality of those models is very good.

Thanks for all the input guys:fing2: But my decision was to get the PRS SE Single cut, then I called and they wont be in for 8 Months!! :smash: Seriously. Why would they put it up on the site if they wont have it for 8 months!?!?:lame:
