wow some major gear hoarders lol glad I am in good company

for the smaller gigs I note that the jbl eon 15" powered speakers are only 35 pounds for easy carrying with handles etc

I'll second the recommendation of the JBL Eons... and add their powered sub, if they still sell it. I built a small PA around these units for my department to use, and it'll fill a good sized gymnasium with *no* problem (other than the obvious one of environmental reverb). Use a small Mackie in front, with a graphic EQ patched in to deal with feedback, and you're golden.
