Hey guys, recently i bought a sh-5 trembucker for the neck and a sh-6 for the neck, coz my guitar has h-s-h configuration i put a 3 way switch lever the normal ones and anulate the middle pup, i plan to buy a middle pup in the future but until now i use only the neck and bridge pups.
my question the guy who install the 3 way switch use the red wires as hot ones, so they were like making a lot of noise a strat noise, after the rehearsel i opened up the guitar and warm up the solder pencil and desoler the red wires and fix the config of the wires.
when i done fixing the possition of the wires i got in a dilema of which sound i was looking for the middle poss so i started to experiment with the white and red wires at last i got the sound i was looking for, splitting the neck pup but i wanted to be running through the stud coil and adjustable coil, anyway, when i was checking out what pup was sounding, you know touching the polepiece with a little piece of iron, i notice that the stud coil was hotter (when i mean hotter i mean that it has a better and bigger magnetism) than the adjustable coil on the bridge pup, then i tested the neck pup and both coils were ok, their magnetic field were the same...
also i think i have a ground problem, when i move the tremolo arm it makes some strange noise like when someone move the input jack cable, also i put an iron knob on the volume pot when the volume is at full and i`m not touching the guitar it has a hum noise, when i touch the knob the hum dissapears, so i remove the iron knob and reinstall the plastic one that it came with it but now it has the same noise and it also disappears when i touch the tremolo or the strings...what is that ??
could someone give me some advice please i have a gig on sunday and i want to be noise free, actually i`m checking the troubleshooting page at this time right now...
PLEASE I`M BEGGIN FOR YOUR COMPATION... :yell: :blackeye:
