Help needed! Brian Moore Guitars

Probably a bit of a stretch seeing as how they aren't popular guitars, but for guys that own them, hopefully you can help out.
A friend of mine needs new locking tuners for his guitar, and we aren't entirely sure what model of Sperzel it needs and whether you have to buy 6 in a line or 3 a side tuners.
I'm assuming "Trim Lok" in enclosed housing format, but not too sure

All Sperzels are the same, actually. A Sperzel with the peg coming out of the left side can be converted to right-side and visa-versa very easily, so it shouldn't matter if your friend buys one set or the other.

Actually, I'd recommend getting the 3x3 set as your friend would only need to convert one tuner instead of 3.

i did not know that, sir
very cool

is that a relatively idiot proof user mod? or a skilled luthier mod? or a factory mod?

Also, he should check the method the tuners are mounted on the guitar by disassembling one of the tuners. He might need to make new holes for the screws/pins in the back of the headstock if he orders something that doesn't fit. It's not a tragedy but it might be a hassle...

If you have two thumbs and a philips head screwdriver you should be able to pull it off. :D

The whole tuner comes apart pretty easily. It's been a while since I've done it so I don't want to post an inaccurate step-by-step, but IIRC all you have to do is unscrew the tuner button and take it off, remove the post bushing, and the rest of it pushes through the other side. I can't recall if you need to remove the thumbscrew or not, though.

Perhaps someone more recently acquainted with the practice will come in here and elaborate...
