this has been goin with me for quite some time.. still havent got the money for it (not untill i sell the gear i got now) but reading around here, got me thinking. should i go with a floyd guitar (Jackson DX10D (amber sunb or trans red.. not the actual one, this one has an active midboost.. but maybe this one too, who knows) or a Rhoads type) or a string through tuneomatic (Jackson KVX10 (amber sunburst) )
i would like to have a floyd axe so i could use and abuse the floyd and i think it would kind of suit me, plus add a bit of 'depth' and variation to my playing, but reading around the forums about peoples prolems with their floyds, i kind of fear having one :crying: cos i just cant leave my hands off of stuf and i start tinkering with it and the set-up and i fear that i wont be able to set it up properly again (and no, i aint taking it to the shop cos i dont trust them more than i can throw them), so should i face my fears and get it anyway and try to set it up properly myself if i screw up something or should i go the easy way and get the king V? (being floating or no doesnt bother me as i can always block it)
i dont quite know yet which pup i'll be going for either (bridge.. it'll get a '59 in the neck definately) deciding between the SH-4, 5 or 6 (playing 80's rock and metal, plunging deeper and deeper into more extreme types of metal nowadays)
thanks for any views on this guys
