HMm, hey dude, for me i am in a band and we are mostly doing punk, either rock or pop. And i really find metal music not to my liking see? But, rock music which is not heavy enough as green day is also not to my liking. So i should say i am in between these 2 genres now. A balance. =)

Looking at the bands you like can i recommend you check out The Descendants and Screeching Weasel. These bands were at the forefront of pop/punk, and were probably huge influences on the bands you like.

I think Green day is the revialist of punk rock ^^
