HELP No tone control in one pickup

hey
i just bought an strat and try to put my SSL4 in the bridge position on in without perfect succes.

the first problem that i had was no hum canceling in the 2nd position in the pickup switch but after a while a irealize that i was because i had to swap the cables when combining with fender pickups.


now everything seems to be perfect but the tone control doesnt work on the new bridge pick up!!

any ideas??

On normal Strats, there is no tone control for the bridge pickup. The 2 tone knobs are for the middle and neck. A quick mod can fix it, though.

Did the tone control work on the bridge pickup before you swapped it?

that explains everything... its my first strat.

i didnt event tryed that much after buying it i just went straigt to the mods...

There's a wiring diagram on here that shows the tone on bridge control. I think it's at the bottom of the list under Strat style guitars. Enjoy!
