HI All Bro...

I need some help ..
I own one standard strat style guitar..with three single coil pick up ..
I plain to change the pick up to Humbucker ...

i like to play like this kind of distortion sound ..refer below link

I KNow is have few type of single coil humbucker
1. Seymour Duncan Hotrails Strat
2. Seymour Duncan Jb.Jr Strat
3. Dimarzio ToneZone S...
SO which is suitable for me....
I m using amplitude doing the overdrive and delay ..

Welcome to the forum sweeseng85!

I have a Hot rails in an early 80's MIJ Fender Strat and I
absolutely love this pick-up. Just played it tonight as a
matter of fact. The Hot Rails ROCKS!!!. You can certainly
get the tones from the links you posted. Sounds great split
with a PP pot too?

I have a Hot rails in an early 80's MIJ Fender Strat and I
absolutely love this pick-up. Just played it tonight as a
matter of fact. The Hot Rails ROCKS!!!. You can certainly
get the tones from the links you posted. Sounds great split
with a PP pot too?

regarding the hotrail price will slightly higher then JB?
If i change the Hotrails ..should i change the volum pot?
I very new in electric guitar..sorry about all the question.because i want to learn .what is the PP pot ??

I have hotrails in the bridge position of my strat. I LOVE them. They're probably the creamiest pickup I've ever used. I've never used a JB jr though so I can't compare them but it I'm assuming it would be similar to a JB

The price of the Hot rails & JB are about the same
here in the States. I didn't change out the volume
pot. A PP or Push/Pull pot would replace the tone
pot for your bridge pickup. This pot enables you to
split the double coil humbucker with a pull of the
knob, giving you the best of both worlds.

The price of the Hot rails & JB are about the same

actually i own the cheap strat style guitar ..the original pick up sound like ****.that why i wanna change the pick up ..i like rock music .After you saw the link i provider..how u think i should get on HotRails or JB Jr ? because the price are same ...now confuse on this two pick up ....

finally I get the answer.i will get the Hotrails...
hope hotrail will work find with me...
but need to check out local store see have stock or not..

So Bad News checked out local seymour duncan shop don't have hotrail and JB anymore restock have to wait for 3 mth...
But got another shop still left one in stock ..but the color is black (price aslo cheaper then other)..my start is white..
Should i go ahead ?? so bad......**** unluck for me.

Darrin...the Hot rail got 2 model it is (Bridge & Neck)??
or just only have 1 model ...depand we want to install in which position only!!

If i put the neck pick at bridge position the sound will any diffrient ??(stupid question again)need all the senior help

sweeseng,

I've never tried a neck position Hot Rail in the bridge.
I would stick with what there intended for. Look for some
Seymour Duncan retailer in other parts of the world. If
they have the Hot rails in stock, they may ship internationally.

I has found out local shop still have left one of the hot rail but no ideal is for Bridge or NEck ...?? really bad for me..THis coming saturday i will go take a look ...if really the last one is the necl pick up ..should i buy it fix in bridge area ??

If order online the lead time will take quite long.Handling and shipping fee will expensive aslo ..:banghead::banghead:

Finally i change my bridge pickup to the HotRails ..
After change it,Feel the sound more lound and the bass tone more clear...
and the distortion sound more strong..
I get the sound like previus i meantion on 1st post..

NOw i got another quetion need help ,because i no familiar on the sound (distortion match).
