Help Please. Can I hybrid a 2 conductor with a 4 conductor?

Hey guys,
I know there is a mega thread on this and I have read through it twice, but I'm still not sure if I can pull this off. can I make a C5/59 hybrid if my C5 is 4 conductor and my 59 has the braided, single conductor wire?

If so..... what do I do with the extra wires?

Thanks a ton. These pickups are ready to be disassembled on my bench and my soldering iron is hot. :(

It can be done, no problem. You just have to decide whether you want your hybrid to be 4-conductor or 2.

Regardless of whether a humbucker is 2-conductor or 4-conductor, each coil has 2 leads coming out of it. You just have to determine which is the start lead and which is the finish lead on each coil and go from there.

I'd like to end up with two hybrids out of these two pickups. Neither of them need to be coil splittable.

Then just clip away two of the 4 wires on the one that ends up with the 4-conductor wiring.

Keep in mind also that, assuming they will both be bridge pickups and you'll mount them in your guitars the traditional way (screw coil facing bridge), these will be two very different pickups. The one with the stronger slug coil will have more mids and lows while the one with the stronger screw coil will have a lot more sizzle and presence.
