I installed the Custom Custom (with a nickel cover) in the bridge position of my Dean Hardtail. I've got a feedback problem when using the gain channel of my Soldano. The is the first pup and/or guitar that's ever presented a feedback issue with this amp. I tried lowering the pup but that didn't work.
Previously I had the JB with the nickel cover in the bridge position of the Dean with no feedback issues.
Any ideas how to reduce the feedback and/or what's causing the issue? Is it the nickel cover.....is the pup not properly potted? When installing the CC I noticed that the bridge position controls have a rather large capacitor (looks like a mini tootsie roll)....would installing a standard 223 capacitor help? Should I just return the pup (but I may be past the return policy period...it took me 10 days to get the CC installed due to work and such).
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
