Help wiring up an invader bridge pup

Hi all

I am currently working on my first full upgrade on a squire affinity and I am in need of a little help. I am looking to replicate a Tom delonge strat and need a little help on the electrics. I am quite capable of doing the work from the diagram provided by Seymour duncan but I just wanted to know 1. What are the capacitors and resistors for that solder to the volume pot (explaining how/why they work would be great) & 2. What type and where to get them from (links would be great).

Thanks all for any help it will be well appreciated.

This guitar is a single invader humbucker wired to a volume 500k pot.

Re: Help wiring up an invader bridge pup

It's the wiring diagram on the sd website. I assume it's something to do with the tone as there are no tone pots only a volume. I just wanted more of an understanding about how they work and what they do. If you look at the Tom delonge wiring diagram you'll see them.

Thanks

Hey Steve. I can't help you with the actual wiring. But you can find a good resistor color code guide for working with resistors here. I keep a copy of this printed out for reference. As for how everything works, I would look at this page here. It gives a pretty decent short description of small electronic components. Hope that helps.
