hi all, I've been reading this forum for years but this is my first ever post. last week my house was broken into and all my guitars but one mim strat were cleaned out :argh: lost a gretsch projet w/filtertrons, a parts tele with a no-caster set, a dean v with p-rails and some crap beater part-casters. luckily my strat is one hell of a player and and cover just about everything i play with an emg sa set(love/hate with this set). I've done the police reports/ local pawn shop hops but chances are ill never see my babies again. so...
with everything gone the tele has left the biggest hole in my soul and so I'm starting to build one again, specs are:
stewmac swamp ash body(same as the stolen one)
musikraft neck maple/maple neck(had a mitty might, needed a full dress to make playable)
cts 250k pots with pio .o47 cap and 4-way switch
what i need help with is pickups. i want to stay with true singles but only have exp. with the no-caster set. while i loved this set i want to find a slightly warmer/hotter bridge with a clear but warm neck. in my band i play mostly hard rock/ punk rock with a good amour of gain http://www.reverbnation.com/thebandBRIDGER this should give you an idea, home recordings mind you
nder:
I'm open to any and all suggestions any make and model. also note I'm a brad paisley nut and would love to be able to still cop some modern country tele tones
thanks for any and all help!
