Help With Blackouts Dual Vol Wiring

I installed Blackouts on Demmelition king v & wired a separate volume for each pup. They sound amazing, but sometimes the neck pup wont turn off & even if I turn off one vol there's always sound out of the middle position. Any thoughts on what I should do ?

I re soldered new leads on the switch, same result. Could it be a bad pot?

Re: Help With Blackouts Dual Vol Wiring

Is it an LP style 3 way switch? I am thinking it could be the switch, not the soldering job. I encountered this recently and it was just bending some contacts back right to fix it.

Re: Help With Blackouts Dual Vol Wiring

then I'd guess your switch has gone bad. (I am assuming by the in line statement that it is a closed, import style.)

Here's a pic of the switch wiring sorry I took so long

Re: Help With Blackouts Dual Vol Wiring

Not turning off would be indicative of not having good ground on the associated volume pot. Lose the ground, volume goes to full. Check that 1st.

I concur with the dirty and/or damaged switch internals theory.

Try a contact cleaner spray. If this makes no difference, replace the selector switch. Probably wisest to upgrade to something professional like the Fender/CRL type.
