I think they are asking $175. Worth it for a flip?

Re: Help with consignment shop find

At 175 not much margin to flip it on, That model was a low rent model those years. 175 is about the going rate for them.

Re: Help with consignment shop find

That's a lot of guitar for the money, especially with the case, but resale value on these is less than it really should be for a MIJ guitar. You might turn it for $250-$300, so not that bad. Just a lot of competition out there

Re: Help with consignment shop find

Is it me, or does the wear on the neck plate screws sketch you out? Do they protrude form the plate enough to wear when the instrument is laid down? or is that from something else?

Re: Help with consignment shop find

No I think it was just from the pic, but they do look a little chewed up. In any case, gonna pass on this.. just not enough upside and not my thing to hang on to, but thanks all for the input

Re: Help with consignment shop find

Nice score. I was trying to figure out what the heck that amp was . . . then I realized it was the box for an ART mic pre. :D

Re: Help with consignment shop find

Those MIJ Jackson's are about my favorite guitars ever, and Masta'C is right; they're about the top of the bang for buck curve.

IIRC, that's a DK2, and a good price in the Chicago area would be around $250, so there's some room there.

It's a DKMG from sometime around 2002-2004. DK-2s of that (or earlier) vintage would be HSS; they didn't introduce the HH DK-2 until 2006 or so.
