Hi,
I just got the 59™ NECK SH-1N, and i want to install it on my guitar that have a 5 way switch.
My problem is that the pickup have only 1 wire, I read about it that its a "braided shield"(?) wire and I really need your help with connecting it to my guitar.
My guitar built as hum-single-hum with 1 volume and one tone.

Thanks a lot!!

The braid goes to ground and the center conductor goes to the switch.

What's the guitar? What are the other pickups?

Thank you for your answer, the guitar is Ibanez.
I ordered a recommended set from the website : 59' Neck, STK-S7(5 wires), Custom Custom SH-11(5 wires).

The cable have things : the center wire, black cover , and silver cover.
So I need to cut the silver cover and connect it to ground? and the center cable goes to the switch?

Yes, the center wire needs to be more or less cut out of the braided shield to go to the switch. The outer shield gets connected to ground.

In "ground" you mean the back of the volume right?

Re: help with installing 59 neck pickup on 5 way switch

Ground is the line that ultimately connects to the sleeve of the plug on your guitar cable.
