I think I remember that there is a cap in the Invader Bridge. This would throw off a measurement.
I tested it today with my multimeter and it's coming up as 18.86. Thats a little high isn't it? Please help !!!
Mmm . . . I don't think so. A cap in parallel would only alter the reading for a few milliseconds. Then it would stabilize. A cap in series would show as an "open."
trembucker invaders are fairly rare since the huge pole pieces kinda negate the need for wider pole spacing. most people buy an invader to get a blistering hot pup, the one you have should suit that well
I googled it : it's a bass cut cap in the Invader neck.
Is this is a Trembucker version (i.e. TB-8, not SH-8)? If so, that's on the high end, but not necessarily out of spec.
Keep in mind that the DC resistance isn't everything and it can be affected by several things.
If it looks genuine and it's working (seems like it is), then I wouldn't worry too much about it![]()
Welcome to the forum!
Its about 13% different...wound a little hotter. Is the pickup working, or does it sound like you expect? Anything weird with the pickup's sound going on?

Right off the bat, the Invader is the same wind as the JB. Yep. The Invader, the Distortion, the Stag Mag, the Holdsworth. All the JB wind. Just different magnets and/or poles.

Yes the pickup is working but I'm not getting the sound I would expect from it. But like I said in my reply, I'm running it through a di to scarlette 2i2 3rd gen to reaper to dsp forting nameless. Nothing really weird about the sound other than the tone isn't as heavy as I would think it should be. The southern coil is sitting higher than the northern one but i think thats just from it sitting on the wires funny.
...I'm gonna have to take off all fricken 7 strings and check!

Oh, it's a 7-string model? Then, yeah, the resistance is right where it should be.
