Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

Hello everyone,
I’m new in the forum and I wanted to ask something about my invader pick up because I recently bought a schecter guitar with one invader in the bridge position and it called my attention because the poles are not aligned with the strings, I’ve read a lot about poles alignment and I still have no idea if this is gonna be a problem or not, I have seen this exactly model in internet and everything including the pick up compartment/case (sorry for my English I mean the place where the pick up is screwed) is in the correct position but the pick up poles are not

I have warranty of 30 days so I would like to know what do you think, is this a problem? And if it is, does it have solution?

I don't think that it's going to cause you any problems. The invader is a powerful pickup and I think that the field density will more than make up for the lack of direct alignment.

I agree, no issues... but if it bothers you aesthetically, now is the time to swap.

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

String alignment isn't a problem with the Invader because it has three ceramic magnets and those large cap screws. They give a wide sensing window that is only matched by rails pickups.

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

Invaders are strong enough that even if the poles missed the strings completely, you would still have a balanced sound. I think it is more of an OCD thing here, and you'd probably dig a rail-based pickup more.

Have a look at the alignment of the pickup ring......thats where the issue lies.

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

Doesn't the Invader use a special ring usually?

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

Sonically, no issues, the guys are right. But AlexR is spot on: either the pickups cavity, the mounting ring or the bridge routing is off. If your string align with the neck properly, (and hopefully they do), then the bridge is where it should be.

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

It's fine by a mile. You'll bend upwards on the high strings anyways.

Having said that, they should bring back the tb-8 and wind it just a bit cooler(14-15dcr) and/or use large hex-bolts for the poles. (slightly improved clarity)
Gates Invaders rule!

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

Thank you all! And about what AlexR and Nexion218 said, that’s what I thought in the first time but I have been watching this same guitar in internet and the guitar rig seems to be in the right position, it seems like the pickup itself is a little bit moved to the left when they attached it to the rig.
If you see this picture you can see the left side of the pickup is even over the rig and there is a lot of space in the right side, what do you think?

Re: Help with my new guitar with a Invader unaligned

The position of the pup in the mounting ring is well within tolerances...if it were 1/2 mm to the right it would be perfect. But it is clear that the ring is what is off, not the pup in the ring.

As others have said, this will make absolutely NO difference to the sound. It is only an appearance thing and will only be noticed by you. But if you are ocd and can't stand the way it looks, you have two options:
1. return it and hope the next one doesn't have the same or some other worse problem,
2. see if you can mount the ring a little more to the right (if there is room to do so in the pup cavity).
