Help with pickup cover

I'm gonna re- wax pot an old Pearly Gates, and I want to put a nickel cover on it. I'm following the tutorial from the Vault. Do I need to wax dip the cover as well ??? If so, do I dip it with the cover ON the pickup?? or..do I not need to wax dip the cover at all ??? I know this sounds like an Idiot asking for directions, ( and it IS LOL ), so....if someone would be kind enough to stop laughing, I'd really appreciate the info. ps. I know I need to solder the cover on when I'm done. Thanks :)

Clamp the cover down tight and solder it before you wax pot. The potting should be done with the cover in place.
