Help with SPB 3!!

hI guys!! i just installed the spb3 pickup in my squier p bass and it sound great really but.... the hum is just too much! how can i get rid of all that noise?

welcome to the forum!

the spb3 should be pretty quiet. the extra large alnico magnets might increase the noise a touch but thats it. did you wire it in yourself?

yes i did it myself, i followed the instructions on the wiring diagram but i dont know maybe i did something wrong... what can i do?

i just read that for some pickups is recommended not to reconnect the bridge ground wire is that maybe the problem??

nah, you can connect the bridge ground wire.

im guessing that there is a grounding issue though. do you have a meter to check?

epp no i dont have one. Maybe is a problem with the potentiometer?

probably not the pot itself but the wiring.

check all the ground connections.

do the pots work like they should?
