Help with tapped pickup.

Hello,

Need a bit of advice please.

I decided to buy an SSL-5 and a a SSL-5 RWRP for the neck and middle positions for my Jackson.

I have accidentally ordered the SSL-5T RWRP (tapped version)

would it be possible to use this pickup without connecting the other hot wire to use it normally as a full output pickup? ( i don't have switches installed on the guitar)

welcome to the forum!

absolutely. just use the full output wire and insulate the tapped output wire so it doesnt make contact with anything

Yes, just tape off the exposed wire at the end of the tap lead and all will be well.
