Help with wiring colors? SD vs Schecter

Hi,
I'm replacing a Schecter humbucker in my Nick Johnston HSS with a JB. The Schecter pickup is wired as follows:

Red/white - push pull pot
Black/bare - back of volume pot
Green - 5 way switch

Would the JB wires follow this same configuration?

The red/white of the SD would go to the push/pull. The bare would go to the back of the vol pot (ground). Normally, green of the SD would be ground too, and black would be hot. But I am not sure what the other pickups in the Schecter are, so if you do this and the SD is out of phase, then swap the green and black.

The neck and middle pickups are just Schecter single coils. Black and white cloth wires.

If you wire up the SD and it is out of phase with the other 2 pickups, flip the black and green wires.

Now I'm even more confused. Schecter support sent me this.

Red – Hot
Green+Black – Series Link
White – Ground [along with the bare shield, of course]

In SD world, red & white are the series link, green & bare are ground, and black is hot.

Yeah, I guess it'll just be a matter of which wire to ground (green or black), based on how it sounds in position 2 with the middle pickup.

Yes, exactly. I am not familiar with Schecter pickups, so you have to try it both ways.

There's nothing wrong with this, but if the push-pull shorts those wires to ground, (easy to eyeball), then you'll have the "screw" coil of the Duncan active when split.
