Help!!!

I just lowered my action pretty low, but not to the point where the guitar wont sustain. As I'm testing out the low action I notice while that fully bending a string on high e at the 19th and 21st fret the note just dies. Does this mean I have to raise the action?

If the entire rest of the neck is good, I'd just raise it a tiny bit, see if it goes away. You might have one fret (22?) that is sticking up a bit high on that end? Does the G "fret-out" like that as well?

Probably. The key is to have the intonation set correctly and this is a bit tricky sometimes unless you know what you are doing.

Use a tuner an ensure that the open of each string is exactly in tune with that string fretted at the 12th fret - lowering your action must not compromise this.

Raise it a tiny bit allows the note to sound at least but there is hardly any sustain. Nothings wrong with G or any other string or fret.

I had the same problem a while back. I found out that because I did not play the notes in the 21st thread very often, they had oxides built up on them; plus the other frets had worn out due to a lot of string bending, which made the situation worse. I ended up sanding the fret a little bit and re-buffed it. May be you can bend the string on that fret for about ten times or so to smooth it out and then try it on the next higher fret to see if it makes any difference. If it does then you can do the sanding and buffing. If not, then you may have to raise the strings back up.

I just changed strings and situation became worse. Now 3 4 5 on rattle so bad it just sounds like noise instead of a note. Im guessing I need a new fret job.
