Hi, I'm new here. I recently picked up an Ibanez SZ320. It's got 2 duncan/ibanez humbuckers. They sound pretty good. The guitar itself is mahogany, and naturally produces way more midrange than I'm used to. Even unplugged it honks quite a bit. Of course I'm comparing it to my fender strats which are kinda bright. So here are my questions: I'm looking for a bridge pickup that will have fewer mids, and be brighter than stock. Would a '59 be the right choice? I dont really play metal, so I'm not looking for super output. On another note, sometimes the stock bridge pickup has a touch of audible distortion when I pick hard. I lowered it a bit, and that seemed to help but It's kinda still there. I'm assuming its just because the stock pickups arent the best. Plus...does anyone know what model the stock ibanez/duncans would be compred to? The bridge has slotted screws on the bottom row, and allen screws on the top row. Thanks for your help.
