and now I'm not, and I was pretty serious about it. Hurt a little.
...Orange OR 50. Can't find much info on it like how much $$ and how loud.
seems promising, and I haven't liked EL34s since the '90s. Current contender (on paper anyway) now that the Rocket is out. What do you think of the clips?

see, the deal is, right/wrong/indifferent I did these things:
realized I was HAVING to use way too much UNREALISTIC volume for almost any situation including what the sound guys allow the top billers at the clubs I've been to in order to get "my sound", and get my point across, and cut through, and so on. And even though I rock, playing LOUD ALL THE TIME gets stressful, even when you can get away with it without having the COPS called on you.
determined the volume levels at which I wanted to be getting my sound
began experimenting with scaling down to see if I could still be happy and sane, and because possible housing issues were likely forcing my hand
became aware that I might be able to have both a.) my tone at more realistic volumes, AND!!!! b.) the ability to get loud and huge and doomy if I wanted to
met a dude who spent years and years and years designing an amp around a specific single speaker in a specific little Marshall cube that he loved ...
... landed upon a miraculous little speaker of my own to design a rig around AND meet my scaling down needs, at the volume levels I had in mind. Sounds great with amps ranging from 5 to 140 watts, but after much thought, I decided to ask fer y'all's help in seeking out the one I describe in this thread's title because I think it would go perfectly with that speaker, especially with the right pedal heating up the front, which is a whole 'nother epiphany about which I made 12 other threads.
