Herco Picks? Anyone use them?

I bought a pack of Nylon .75s today. They are kinda bright sounding but really natural. Lots of notes jumping around. I dig them. Anyone else use them?

Re: Herco Picks? Anyone use them?

I have a few dozen 50'd and 75's...they are different form what I use most often but I do still dig 'em now and then.

Neat trick...flip them around backwards so that the grip part hits the strings...you get this sort of scratchy thing on the attack. It's not for everybody but it can be neat.

Re: Herco Picks? Anyone use them?

I use the Flex 75s for electric and the Flex 50 for acoustic - best picks ever, IMO. Lots of control, minimal pick noise (unless you rotate to the grip edge it like Guy suggested which is a really cool sound - very Brian May), highest amount of dynamic control of any pick I've used.

Thats it!!!

Too funny...I use that sound, the sound of the pick flipped around backwards now and then and like it but never really tried to link it to a sound but it does sound pretty Brian May!!!

Page used 75s and does that too on occasion, as does Neil Young.

I dunno - I've gone through a ton of picks of various materials and thicknesses at this point in my playing life and the Hercos are just overall the best in terms of dynamics which is super important to me. More than any other material, these feel more like an extension of my fingers. The initial attack grip and smooth release, the fact that there is no chirping or clanging on the string, etc. I've had all the standard material types and shapes, metal, ceramics, as well as the crazy thick V-Picks types, even a real tortoise shell pick that I found in an old guitar case - the Hercos just fit me best of all of them. And they're cheap and easy to get so if you lose one or give a couple away it's no big deal.

tl;dr - they're awesome. lol
