Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

Now these are just real quick clips of the Classic Stack Plus and nothing fancy but should give you a rough Idea on what each position sounds like. What I used for an amp is a 65 Deluxe Reverb RI with all JJ tubes and my American Strat, The mic is a shure sm-57 placed about about 4" away!

The first clip is just clean and starts with the neck pup and works its way to the bridge.

2nd clip is done with a mild OD pedal(Barber Silver LTD) there is a little Delay as well I forgot to shut it off! Starts with the neck and working its way to the bridge

Not the greatest clips but pups sound great live!

3rd clip is a high gain clip using the Barber Direct Drive with the drive around 3:00 and and tone knob pulled to engage the Fat Harmonics ckt. everything else is the same setup!

Starting with the neck working back to the bridge!

Don't knock yourself, great clips! Gives a pretty good idea of how they sound I reckon.

Thanks Steve!

Eventually I will setup some backing tracks and play something a little more musical!

Those sound great. I like how you played the same lick in each position. It really lets you hear the difference between each position. They sound stratty to me. I may have to look in to a set for my Strat at some point.

The riffs were just of the top of my head but I did want people to hear all positions.......... did you notice between each riff there was not much noise and I was in the same room as my computer monitor!

Nice clips, and pickin'. Thats exactly what a Strat should sound like. :)

I agree. Nice clips...very useful and you really showed what the differant pickup selections sound like compared to each other. Nice pickin too. And that IS exactly what a Strat should sound like. :) Lew

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

Give yourself some credit sir ... those clips were SWEET. What a cool pickup! That's pretty much exactly the sound I imagine in my head when I think "Strat -> Deluxe".

Duncan has knocked it out of the park with this one. I have the old Stacks in my 3S Strat, and I'm very happy with them, but who knows what the future holds ...

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

Very cool clips, and great playing. I love the sound of those clips, they showed off the different positions perfectly. Those are definately on my short list if the APS's and TB don't work out in my new strat!

I did notice the lack of noise in positions 1, 3, and 5 and even when switching between them all. They'll sell a ton of these things.

I vote that these clips be put in the vault. Definitely vault worthy considering what they are clips of.

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

Those are great clips! You are really good at the blues thing, wish I could do the same. Those sound like great pups too, I may have to invest in some in the future.

Please do record something with a backing track! It would sound awesome, I know it!

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

great playing! youve completely sold me on them now. i was gonna go for the van zandt blues set but now that ive heard these they sound stratty enough for me! plus these will sound MUCH better without the hum if i blend the neck and bridge p'ups. they sound really great im surprised! thanks so much for the clips!

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

hey lew, do you think your store will stock the classic stack soon? or maybe even as a calibrated set?

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

Man, I am loving the tone of those in the 2 & 4 position and the lack of noise in the other positions is great!! Thanks for posting the clips!! Nice Job!!

I agree these should be put in the vault!!

They'll sell a ton of these things.

I think your right!! I have already sold out my first order of white covers and had several inquiries.

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

those things have a great sound. kudos to Duncan. real nice playing too man, sounds sweet

Re: Here are some Classic Stack Plus Sound Clips

Thanks guys, I think once these start to get used by others Seymour Duncan will be producing quite a few of these!

I will do some High gain clips soon!
