Here I Go Again

I've recently revalved my Marshall DSL401 and got my Strat fitted with Hot Rails again so I thought I'd record a song to see how my tone has withstood the change.

I've recorded Whitesnake's Here I Go Again. Please be gentle. :)

Cheers,

Bravo!! Well done! To me, Id think Whitesnake would be hard to cover because they always have such a HUGE guitar sound. Alot of production I imagine. So considering that, yours was very good.

Re: Here I Go Again

good job on that classic tune man, love it. great tone

Re: Here I Go Again

Hell yeah, nice work. Sounds great. Very good production work too. The lead was a *little bit* too out front to me, but otherwise it sounded great.

WWOOOWWW. One of my "first favorite" bands. Dude are you telling me that's a single coil in the bridgy, that balls man. I was never able to have my JCM2000 to sound like that with those freaking svetlana's in it .... oh well ... Great, great tone.

The Hot Rail is a humbucking pickup. I've also changed the valves in the amp. In the preamp is Ei Elite 12ax7s with a 12at7 in V2 (takes the edge of the gain). In the power amp is 4 JJ Tesla EL84s. Amazing valves the JJs!

I could never get my DSL401 to sound like that...... so I sold it for a JCM800

Niiice, very crunchy. I liked the spitting tone, and your playing was great. Always loved the guitar parts in this song. Does anyone know who wrote the original song/riffs? Vai? Sykes? Someone else?
