Yeah, those are Marvels. I have never used them before and just took them off the Rat Fink Strat body because they looked kinda cool.

they can fail in 2 ways. the knob on the front easily unscrews. and the tiny ball bearings that lock into pin can forced back

IIRC, you said this guitar was refretted with SS frets. Is that correct? If so, what do you think of them? I had a USA Parker for a good while, but that's such an unconventional design already that yiu don't get a feel for how much the stainless change things. Basically, I'm probably going to need to refret one of my guitars soon, and I'm thinking about going stainless. What are your thoughts on the matter?

I'd change the straplocks, too. I've also had that type fail.

I honestly seldom play standing up since I don't play out anywhere. Another reason is that I can't play solos when I'm standing up unless I prop the guitar on my leg, ala Zakk Wylde. I have to be pretty wasted before I think it looks cool enough to actually do it, so I usually just play sitting down.

I can't tell a difference that much in the material, but these frets are the jumbos and I can tell the difference in the size. I'm loving them because they feel and play tons smoother than the stock frets like on my Amber Standard.

I have SS frets on my Carvin Single-cut and I love them. They feel silky smooth.

Killer. That's pretty much exactly what I wanted to hear. My Parker was a hell of a player, but I always wondered how much was the composite frets and how much was the frets. Nice to know for when I get mine.
