Hey Artie! more help please?

Hi this is really open to anyone who can help,
A few months back Artie was kind enough to help with some wiring advice,
for my H/S/S project.

I decided to go with that and filed it away.Now I am actually up to wiring I
am wondering which of the two ,pot wiring-configs , I should go with?
As they are both different,I am a bit confused!
Also could you tell me the purpose of jumping that little earth to the bridge black on the 5way.

If you mean the tone pot, it doesn't matter if the cap or the pot comes first, so those are both electrically identical. Use whichever is easiest to wire. I usually do the one where the cap goes between the two pots, only because its easier to use the cap as a jumper.

On the second question, you want to connect that jumper to either ground or the bridge hot. Not both. If you connect to ground, you split to the stud coil. If you jumper to the bridge hot wire, you select the adjustable, (screw) coil. Its just a matter of preference.

OK Got it,
Thanks heaps that is all I needed (I hope).
I will go cap between pots (it seems neater)and will jump that wire to
bridge black(hot),so as to have screw coil split.
