I'd like to build a pair of those hybrids. I have two zebras...one '59 and one CC I was thinking of doing a screw/screw slug/slug thing with the 5 mag under the slug and at the bridge and the 2 mag under the screw at the neck. How do you think this would turn out? Can you direct me to a tutorial to show me how to do this? Thanks!

I think you would be better off with A2 in the bridge and A5 in the neck.Good luck with your hybrids.Post what you think about them.I made 2 myself and i like them A LOT.Thanks to the hybrid junkies for the idea.

I would suggest a cleaner pickup for the NECK position like a 59/Jazz or 59/APII Hybrid... they balance out perfectly in tone & output with the 59/Custom BRIDGE Hybrid.
I have a few Slug/Slug Hybrids that I have made... they look a little weird, but they sound great... ever slightly more powerful since more magnetic field gets into the coils... the Double Screw pickups look great!

The A4 Jazz/59N Hybrid is a great pickup that I use in my Tokai Love Rock...Wouldn't ever take that pickup nor the Hybrid 59/C A2 out of the bridge of this same guitar...These pickups are perfect in here!
