Xeromus
Tone Ninja
SSS configuration for a new build. I'd prefer to go noiseless, but also considering classic singles. Problem is, there are so many strat pickups, and vendors out there. I'm looking at the classic stack set right now, bu I've never actually tried them. I have a telecaster that I bought with Dimarzio noiseless singles installed, and they are way better than expected. I hear Lace is great too, for actives.
Ideally, here's what I'm going for:
Not a "hot strat", but not a vintage correct sound either. Just the classic single coil chime and tone, that can be used for a variety of styles. I guess a modern/vintage strat sound. It's really hard to use words to define how a guitar sounds. Anyway, let me know if you guys have any suggestions from your own experience.
Part two of this question, if I go HSS, what's a suggestion for a bridge pickup to go well with the singles, and likely 250k pots? How do you get around the 500k/250k compromise in a HSS config?
