Hey GC!!!!
What is that Splawn I am hearing ????? Have you betrayed your brotherhood???? Just kidding, but why dont you post some of your Pro-Tube clips here too, people need to hear the power of Laney. Splawn crips and tight like whats its known for. But these are EL34s right ?

Hahaha! Yes it's EL34s... I've been keeping my Splawn clips hidden from the brotherhood... however I have not truly betrayed you! I have two more clips I intend to record very soon, one of which would be fully Laney...

I'm leaving the mics on the cab and just going to change from the Splawn to the Laney head for the next two clips... so it's going to be a bit of a showdown... :bigeyes2:

Still KT77s in your Pro-Tube, its a non-AOR pro-tube right? any mods? I remember it sounded awesome with KTs, it had all the thicknes and tightness JCM800 never had.

Yep the Pro Tube is pre-AOR. I'm pretty sure that technically makes it a JCM 800... from getting inside that amp I've ascertained that it is part for part the same as a Marshall 2204. Infact I've done a few simple JCM mods on it... removing the "bright caps" to fatten the tone at lower volumes.
Still KT-77s. Man I wish I weren't so busy this week... it's Laney's turn to step into the spotlight!

I've ordered Lexicon Lambda, before post my first clip here I will some JJ KT77s, your clip converted me, its got all the creamy mids and smooth highs of EL34s and bright and tight bass of 6l6. Cant wait dude, post those Laney clips.

Hey Mavashi... I recorded my Laney tune this afternoon. Cubase erased it before I had a chance to get down to mixing. It was good too, so many harmonies! UGHHHH! I am full of hate... :yell:
