I made this acoustic cover of the aforementioned song over the holiday break. Signal Path is SG/Jazz neck -> GT-6 Acoustic Sim -> EQ -> "Full Range" amp mod -> Direct to computer.
The "rhythm" guitar is tuned standard with a brighter sound and the "lead" part is tuned to Drop-D with a darker, middier sound.
Vox were recorded with some Radio Shack mic into my GT-6 just to boost the signal direct into my sound card.
I struggled most with the vocals on this tune - the style is not quite in my comfort zone, so concessions were made, but I am pleased with the outcome.
No fretboard gymnastics, no awesome harmonies, nothing really groundbreaking - just a hack having fun!
Enjoy!
