HH guitar downside of replacing 3 way switch with blender pot?

Have a G&L ASAT Deluxe with P-Rail neck and 59 bridge. The P-Rail is much louder than the 59 in middle position.
Would like to be able to get more balanced volume between them without drilling any holes in the guitar.
Wondering if a blender pot instead of 3 way switch would be the best alternative.
Any advice would be appreciated,

No, generally blending doesn't work in passive guitars, although it obviously works for Jazz basses.

The problem is that you connect the volume pots backwards compared to a normal Les Paul setup, and any amount of turning one of them down puts a lot of load on the pickup and dampens the amplitude of the resonance peak.

i dont ever trust the recommended heights, they are good starting places, but they almost always need tweaks to get things right
