HH wiring oddity?

I was working on this guitar and was curious about how it was wired(from the factory) is there any reason for the neck side to be "backwards", in terms of "hot and cold", from what would normally be done?

Looks more complicated than just backwards. Looks like the individual coils are flipped and the order is flipped. Looks like it might be wired to make the 2 / 4 positions hum-canceling, if there's any autosplitting.

What are the factory switch positions supposed to do? Are there any odd individual coil / split combinations going on?
