High End Reverbs

I'm looking at some reverb units to possibly replace my Hall Of Fame. Having said that, with the junky switches on them and switch failure I've heard about I want to know I can always count on it and that I can replace the switch on it easily (Apparently the TC switches are into the PCB and not to easy to replace if you can at all). Anyway, I got my eye on the Red Panda Context Reverb and Dr Scientist Reverborater. From what I gather the Dr Scientist is good for subtle reverb while the Panda has more range. Do any of you guys have any input on either or ideally both? I know alot of folks like the Strymon Reverb but the videos I've seen haven't done much for me to be honest. I'm specifially looking at high end pedals that have different modes and settings of regular reverbs such as hall and room settings (no spring verb atm). Input is greatly appreciated

What's your budget? Also, do you need/want a pedal that does 100% wet?

Just curious, have you experienced problems with your HOF or are you basing your fear on what you've read on internet forums? If it is just the switch that you don't like/trust, you could also use a bypass switch or looper.

If your amp has an fx loop you could try going "vintage" with a rackmount unit, like an old Alesis for example. In a pedal form, the EHX Cathedral is a dope a$$ reverb although it has the drawback of no built-in gain, so you get a volume drop with it (at least I did). But I loved the sound. And these might be less expensive options too.

Or a Strymon BlueSky. But I'm not sure if I want to be one of those guys with three Strymon pedals.

I have the Supernatural, it's really great. I haven't had a chance to try the Strymon stuff, but I'm sure either would be lovely to own

What do you think of the plate on it? I'm not a huge spring fan and what I really want out of a good reverb is a good plate emulation. If Catalinbread had put out their emulation of the EMT-140 there would be only one reverb for me.

IIRC, Hardwire is built off of Lexicon algorithms.

Hands down, my favorite reverb I've heard is the #30 preset (Big Studio) on a Lexicon MPX-1. I like the plate algo on the Eventide H9 too. Mixer used on both devices. Its worth the extra noise used into the input of a Fender amp.

I too prefer a tight plate reverb (and a light delay) to spring reverb.

Believe it. I haven't bought anything "just because" in more than half a year. I'm getting a midi controller tonight, a reverb with my next paycheck, and then I am done. I might get an EP booster but that would be it. I can't afford to buy more pedals, I have a custom guitar to pay for.

I absolutely love the Neunaber WET reverb. Had the Verbzilla, BlueSky, and the Eventide Space before, but the WET has the most beautiful trails of them all, in my opinion. Love the simplicity too. That being said, I'm pairing it up with an Eventide H9..

Strymon Flint and El Capistan for me. Throw in an EP Booster, a Bad Horsie 2, and evh phase and flanger and were off to the races

Pedals are not high end reverb - although they may be expensive.
