I remember C5 to be very very clear. Of course the BL XL is a classic in that respect. Custom is clear too. I think C5 or XL would be both killers and great matches for a LP.

I know what your talking about but it is not a Bill Lawrence. It is a Jaydee Hooligan Pickup in both Neck and Bridge in his Custom made Jaydee SG with Lightning Bolt inlays (which has since been retried and replaced by his Gibson Custom SG with Lightning Bolt inlays) .

I think you'll find that the pickups in a Jaydee Hooligan are in fact Bill Lawrence 500XL's. I have a 2-colour blueburst Hooligan right here.

I put an alnico 8 magnet into a JB today, and I can tell it has much more clarity than a stock model.
