I only have one guitar with Higher output pickups. My SE Custom 24 has Dimarzio MoJoe and PAFJoe pickups. I am not quite sure That I will keep them to be honest. I used to use high output Dimarzios, then went to a Guild Blues-bird with 59's then back to high output Dimarzios and Duncans. Now for longest time have used mostly lower to lower medium output vintage style humbuckers. For some reason I seem to gel better with those better than most high output pickups anymore.

What does that do to the sound of the 59's?

It makes it vintage.

Not be a smart alec but I thought that was the whole point of the 59 set.
