Hipshot

Re: Hipshot

Everything I´ve ever used from Hipshot so far was great quality. I haven´t tried the tuners yet, though.

Re: Hipshot

I can personally vouch for their tuners, strat and hardtail bridges.
I've got both the staggered and non staggered versions.
The quality is up there with the very best and they now produce
two tele bridges in stainless, one a three barrel compensated
version and the other is virtually a Fender clone with six saddles
which easily compete with the Callaham stuff and cheaper!!

The cheapest Ebay seller is joshmsr, ebay shop - HDCustom Guitar Supply.
I just got a set of non staggered gold tuners for $59 US plus postage,
that's about half price on retail.
Cheers, Will.

Re: Hipshot

What guitar do you want to put them on? Are you having issues? That annoying 'ping' when the string slips and goes out of tune. The vast majority of 'tuner' problems are actually nut slot problems (not tuners), and a little graphite takes care of most of those. Since I started using graphite, my 'tuner' problems are almost non-existent. Funny how that works.

Re: Hipshot

Yes I have a set of hipshot tuners with a drop D on my fender Jazz Bass (MX). And they are really great tuners

Re: Hipshot

I have a couple of Hipshot D-Tuner machineheads on my bass guitars. Good product. Buy with confidence BUT make certain that you are buying the correct model to fit your guitar.
