Hollowbody pickups?

I've researched the archives and still haven't found a solution, but, I have an Ibanez hollow body that needs new pups. What are you guys using in your hollow body guitars? Mahogany neck trough w maple top, back, and sides. I want to play a wide range of music on it, anything from punk/hard rock to jazz. I'm considering either a JB(bridge)/59(neck) or JB/Jazz combo. All suggestions are welcome! :burnout:

id put a 59/59 combo or Seth/Seth in that......possibly CC/Seth or C5/59 if you want a more rocking bridge

Re: Hollowbody pickups?

I love the Custom 5 in my alder strat but am not at all sure about how it would sound in a semi-hollow like yours. The bass is pretty strong, and the mids are de-emphasized.

The Antiquities are great in my Heritage 535 for jazz to classic rock, but I wouldn't ask them to do punk. The CC bridge/Seth neck might get you closest to what you're looking for, but that's just my opinion and I haven't tried different pups in this guitar. (I'm too happy with the Antiquities :D plus I don't want to fool with the wiring challenge just yet... )

I use a Seth Lover neck and a Custom Custom in my semi-hollowbody. A pair of Seths is awesome in a semi-hollowbody too. I'd go with a Seth neck...that's for sure. And then either CC or a Seth Lover bridge, depending on whether you want a hot, modern bridge pickup or not.
