Holy Budda!!

Re: Holy Budda!!

LOL!! Im a gear slut, I admit!! Id LOVE to have a studio filled with amps and stuff. But lack of money prevents that.. But this looks ideal. My perfect amp would have a great warm clean channel and a monsterous gain channel. Many have one and not the other.

One other side note... NO, I dont what EVERYTHING.. The only Fender amps I like are the Supersonic and old Tonemaster.. And there are other things I have no desire for. But yeah, there is a ton of stuff I drool over. haha

I wish for once he'd post a proper mic'd up demo of that amp.

For the past year and a half or so while its been in development, every time he's played it, it sounds like a thin, tinny, buzzy mess. That vid is no exception.

IMO it's all in his fingers. He gets some amazing tones playing through an Ipad with Ampkit, that actually sound better than that demo

If you think that tone is thin and tinny, all I can say is you need better speakers on your computer!

OMG!. I mean OMG! No, I mean OMFG!!!

Can't blame you for wanting that monster. And it's a Budda. Great amps.

You and me both, Blood, I want!!

Re: Holy Budda!!

I'm not trying to sound like a cork sniffer, but I spent the whole day A/B/C'in between a vintage Fender Pro Reverb, Matchless Chieftain, and Bogner Ecstasy, so those world class tones are embedded in my mind.

Then I listen to that clip, and understand that it's a youtube clip and know Jeff Bober makes good amps, and Alex Skolnik knows how to play, but it still sounds like a second rate amp. I'll reserve my real opinion till I play through one though. But with my reference amps still ringing in my ears, that thing sounded like sh!t.

Re: Holy Budda!!

I'm pretty sure that Jeff Bober had NOTHING to do with that amp.
He hasn't been associated with Budda for several years.
He sold it to Peavey and now they are developing new amps under the Budda name.

Re: Holy Budda!!

^ this. (While not 100% accurate, is close enough for argument's sake)

Jeff has his own company, EAST Amplification. He has not had any involvement with Budda in ages. EAST amps are every inch the tone monsters that original Budda amps are.
