Uh, check your facts there, tgwif. The 7868 are electrically similar to the 7591a. That thing could very well be 100 watts with a quad of 7868's. It just depends on if the conversion was done well and the power section is being driven properly. I've converted a couple of Bogen amps myself. They are pretty cool.

Edit: To clarify, a pair in AB push-pull fixed bias can make about 44 watts. A quad can get real close to 100.

I've got a 20 watter, I love it. Nice amount of preamp gain to add a pedal in front of. not digging the paint (you did a nice job though) - I like the stock 60s silver spaceship look.

Saw a local dude trying to sell one for like 2 grand recently, hahaha!

I should have known some ass hat would pop up and be a ass hat because he counted 4 power tubes...

No need to get abusive. These amps are bone stock a 100 watt amp. This amp looks to have had a preamp only conversion, leaving the cathodyne phase inverter intact. The cathodyne is generally less gain than a long-tailed pair. This is why I said it should approach 100 watts with its tube complement. Without seeing the changes made during the conversion, it's an assumption that this thing is still around 100 watts, but definitely not 45-50.

Hmm, I haven't got much of that. My extra pedals are all cheap stuff. Honestly, I have a CHB50 that needs converted on my shelf in my shop. Maybe I'll do that and trade him that thing.
